"Thanks to Roy Kirby and all the wonderful people of Marshfield, MA, the soldiers at FOB Grizzly, Iraq had a wonderful 4th of July.
Roy’s 20 X 30 foot American Flag arrived in the mail on 2 July, just in time for our celebration for the Independence Day holiday. Our soldiers unfurled the flag in a very moving and patriotic ceremony. Following the ceremony the flag was folded by our senior NCO’s and repacked for shipment. It was truly an honor for all of us here in this FOB to have such a unique opportunity to get such a personal gift from home. Even our Bulgarian soldiers participated in the event. Roy, I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your most valued possession on this very important day. May God Bless America, its soldiers and her people."
There is nothing more important for the America Soldier than to know that America is behind us. I have forwarded Roy’s email to my friends so you can understand the journey Roy’s “OLD GLORY” has made. Please see the site www.Americanpriderevival.com to learn more about the Flag. Today is another big day for me, believe it or not I turned 60, inside I just turned 18. Let’s hope we have no more fireworks today.
